Eight days of maternity care at your home
I provide professional maternity care with full attention for mother and baby. In these beautiful but demanding weeks I help the whole family.
Eight days, and after that you can do it yourselves
The first days after a birth are daunting, and you are in them together. Over those eight days I show you how caring for your baby works. By the time I leave, you know you can do it yourselves.
Besides my knowledge and experience, I am open and spontaneous. You can come to me with any question at all. There is nothing to be embarrassed about.
Natalia ŁazowskaFirst I show you, then you do it
The bath, the latch, the cord. I show you once and then you do it yourselves, with me beside you. That way you have it down before I leave.
„It is thanks to Natalia that I am no longer afraid of breastfeeding.”
Natalia Kościołek
No question is too small
Ask me anything: about feeding, about stitches, about crying for no reason. Nothing is too silly and there is nothing to be embarrassed about.
„She was always very patient and happy to answer all my questions, even the most basic ones.”
Anna Sosnowska
Calm in your home
It is your home and your rhythm. I fit myself around it, without rush and without judgement.
„You bring calm, confidence and joy.”
Mary and Roos, both grandmothers
Also after the eighth day
Questions do not stop when the maternity week does. Once I close the door behind me on day eight, you can still message me.
„To this day she is there whenever I need advice.”
Anna Sosnowska
The Dutch system, explained as we go
Kraamzorg surprises almost every family that did not grow up with it: a maternity nurse in your home for eight days, paid by your insurer. I will walk you through all of it before it starts.
No translating needed
Questions about feeding, stitches or your baby. Ask them in English and get the answer in English.
The Dutch system from the inside
What your insurer pays, what the midwife does, what goes in the kraamdossier. I explain the differences before they become a surprise.
One face for eight days
I work for myself, so you will not meet a different nurse every morning. I do the intake and I do the eight days.
From signing up to the eighth day
You sign up
Maternity care is best arranged before week 20 of your pregnancy. That is when your month is still free in my calendar.
Intake at your home
We meet at your place. I explain how I work, we provisionally set the number of hours and I answer all your questions. You tell me what matters most to you.
Hospital or home
After an uncomplicated hospital birth you go home with your baby, and that is when I arrive. For a home birth I assist alongside the midwife.
Your own week
I am with you for eight days after the birth, during the hours we agree together.
What maternity care with me looks like
My work is the basic care and the medical checks, plus support through the first demanding days. I build the care plan together with you, around what you actually need.
Checks on the baby
Temperature, weight, skin colour and general condition.
Checks on the mother
Pulse, temperature, the position of the uterus and any stitches.
Feeding
Guidance and hands-on help with breastfeeding and with bottle feeding.
Caring for your baby
Explaining, showing, doing it together and assisting while you learn.
Kraamdossier
Every check is recorded in the maternity care file.
Working with your midwife
I report every check and your situation back to the midwife.
Help around the house
Light household work, so you can focus on your baby.
After having kraamzorg myself I knew this was what I wanted to do, that this work suited me.
Natalia ŁazowskaA diploma, a midwifery degree and two babies of my own
I qualified as a kraamverzorgster in 2016 at ROC Mondriaan. I also hold a midwifery degree, which I studied for in Poland. I am listed in the register of Kenniscentrum Kraamzorg (KCKZ), which monitors my qualifications.
Seventeen families wrote it down themselves
Five on Facebook, twelve by hand on a card. Here are three of them.
For the next baby we want only you.
Anna SosnowskaIt is thanks to Natalia that I am no longer afraid of breastfeeding.
Natalia KościołekWe are very glad it was you we chose as our guide through our Leon’s first days.

Maternity care is covered by your insurance
On a basic Dutch health insurance policy, your insurer invoices a personal contribution of €4.50 per hour of care.
All hours are spread across 8 days. They can shift depending on how the birth went and your personal situation.
Are you pregnant?
